Leading kitchen cabinet manufacturer specializing in high-end single-family projects is looking for a Purchasing/Procurement Coordinator to join our established operation. We are looking for a team player who will uphold our vision and propel us to the next phase of expansion and development as an organization.

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Purchasing/Procurement Coordinator to manage our company's purchasing and procurement activities. Your primary responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing process on a daily basis.

As an experienced Purchasing/Procurement Coordinator you have demonstrated ability to manage and optimize purchasing activities and processes, negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers and have excellent leadership skills. Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies/Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks
  • Manage supplier/customer relations and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  • Identify vendors of materials, equipment or supplies/Evaluate cost and quality of goods or services
  • Creates accurate purchase orders by verifying specifications and pricing on cabinet projects
  • Verifies all requisitions are converted to purchase orders to fulfill orders and install dates
  • Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
  • Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
  • Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials/Prepare cost estimates and manage purchasing budgets
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate the purchasing team’s activities

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a purchasing/procurement officer or supervisor - preferably within a cabinet or millwork manufacturing operation
  • Post-secondary education in business administration or related courses
  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • Proficiency with vendor and purchase ordering systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
